Basketball Recap: Oakland Tech's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Oakland Tech had won four straight games and Ardarius Grayson did his part to make it five on Saturday. The Oakland Tech Bulldogs took down the Archbishop Mitty Monarchs 72-56 thanks in part to Grayson, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards. The match was his 13th in a row with at least ten points.

Xan Meyer-Plettner was another key player, putting up seven points along with 11 boards and three blocks. What's more, he also racked up four assists, the most he's had since back in February.

Oakland Tech has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.3 points per game. As for Archbishop Mitty, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3.

Oakland Tech will face off against Mesa at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Oakland Tech's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Archbishop Mitty, they will challenge Head-Royce at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
