Softball Recap: Lumberton Has No Trouble Against East Marion

Lumberton won the last time they faced East Marion and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Eagles. Considering the Panthers have won four matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lumberton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for East Marion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-9.

Lumberton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-3 loss against Perry Central on the 3rd. As for East Marion, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-2 defeat against Sacred Heart on the 3rd.
