Softball Recap: Vandegrift Comes Up Short

Vandegrift was the 7-2 winner over Hutto when they last played one another back in April of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Vandegrift Vipers lost 16-1 to the Hutto Hippos on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Vipers have suffered against the Hippos since February 28, 2019.

Vandegrift's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Hutto, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-9 record this season.

Vandegrift will take on Round Rock at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Hutto, they are taking a road trip to challenge Vista Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hutto is facing Vista Ridge at the right time seeing as Vista Ridge is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
