Basketball Recap: Lakeside Christian Comes Up Short

Lakeside Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Foundation Christian Academy Panthers and fell 79-40. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-37 back in December of 2024.

Foundation Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caleb Hagan, who posted 23 points along with six boards and four blocks. Calvin Griffin was another key player, putting up 19 points and six rebounds.

Lakeside Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Foundation Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season.

Lakeside Christian and Cambridge Christian will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for Foundation Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bishop McLaughlin Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop McLaughlin Catholic has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
