Volleyball Recap: ABBY DEERING's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Jefferson Davis Academy over Richard Winn Academy + How To Watch

Jefferson Davis Academy was the 3-2 winner over Richard Winn Academy when they last played one another last Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Jefferson Davis Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was ABBY DEERING, who had 22 digs, 12 kills, two aces, and one block. DEERING is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 18 or more in each of the last six games she's played. RYNN FICKLING was another key player, getting 16 digs, 12 kills, six aces, and two blocks.

Jefferson Davis Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Richard Winn Academy, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Jefferson Davis Academy will venture away from home to face off against Community Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Richard Winn Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
