Middletown proved they can win big on Monday (they won by seven) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Clear Spring Blazers 2-1. That's more bragging rights for Middletown, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Middletown's win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8. As for Clear Spring, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Coincidentally, Middletown and Clear Spring will both be playing Brunswick the next time they take the pitch. The Blazers will host the Railroaders at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Knights will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
