Freer came out on top against La Villa on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Buckaroos narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Cardinals 5-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Buckaroos.

Corina Gonzalez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on two hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kaitlyn Aleman, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Kaedee Vega was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Freer's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for La Villa, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6.

Coincidentally, Freer and La Villa will both be playing Premont the next time they take the field. The Buckaroos will host the Cowboys at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Cardinals will host them at 6:00 a.m. on the 10th.
