Basketball Recap: Port Aransas Extends Winning Streak to Five

Port Aransas had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They walked away with a 41-34 win over the Yorktown Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 41-34 on January 3rd.

Port Aransas has also been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. As for Yorktown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-12.

When Port Aransas and Yorktown next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Port Aransas will challenge Refugio and their 12-game winning streak at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Yorktown will try to stop Skidmore-Tynan's four-game winning streak when the meet at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
