Meanwhile, St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. Given the Marauders' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th in New York, while the Vikings are ranked 180th in New York), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points over those games. St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute's victory bumped their record up to 21-3.
