Basketball Recap: St. Francis Takes a Loss

St. Francis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a blow against the Weskan Coyotes, falling 70-41. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while the Coyotes are ranked 27th).

Trey Allen was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 35 points and ten rebounds for Weskan. Allen's evening made it 27 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Karsyn Wright, who posted seven points and four steals.

St. Francis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Weskan, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Francis will venture away from home to challenge Idalia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Weskan, they will head out on the road to face off against Triplains/Brewster at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
