Volleyball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Mater Dei's Tenth in Last 11 Outings + How To Watch

Mater Dei won the last time they faced Freeburg and things went their way on Monday too. The Knights came out on top against the Midgets by a score of 2-0.

Mater Dei not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Freeburg between 15 and 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-15.

Among those leading the charge was Ava Lampe, who had 12 digs and three assists. That's the most digs she has posted over her last seven contests. Marlie Haag also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Freeburg's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aubrey Waeltz, who had 13 digs.

Mater Dei has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Freeburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.

Coming up, Mater Dei will square off against Lafayette at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Freeburg, they will challenge Althoff Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
