While Manteca's win against Oakdale wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Buffaloes sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Mustangs on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Buffaloes have posted since March 7th.

Jimmy Burns looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Nate Slikker was excellent, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Manteca and bumps their season record up to 16-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Oakdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-8.

Manteca didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-7 victory against Central Catholic on the 7th. As for Oakdale, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Patterson on the 7th.
