Niles West hasn't had much luck against New Trier recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Wolves will take on the Trevians at 10:00 a.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Niles West sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over Vernon Hills.

Niles West got a great performance from Shaylen Patel as he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits.

On the hitting side, Niles West let Ryan Lee and Christian Guzman run wild. Lee went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI, while Guzman went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Som, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
