Volleyball Preview: St. Ursula Academy Arrows vs. Clay Eagles
St. Ursula Academy has been on the road for four straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will host the Clay Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, St. Ursula Academy had just enough and edged Olentangy Orange out 2-1.
St. Ursula Academy was staring down a 1-0 deficit headed into the second set, but they rallied to take the next three for the win. After all that action, the final score was 15-25, 25-18, 25-22.
Devin Dzienny was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 12 digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in November of 2023.
Meanwhile, Clay put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Northview.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 19-25, 25-17, 25-16.
Clay was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 14 consecutive games dating back to last season.
