Alexandria City is 0-8 against South County since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Titans will head out to take on the Stallions at 7:00 p.m. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Alpha Jalloh and Dylan Miller.

Alexandria City managed to slip by West Springfield the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Titans were beaten by the Spartans 35-0 on Friday. The shutout was out of character for the Titans seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

Meanwhile, South County entered their tilt with West Potomac on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Wolverines by a score of 20-7. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Stallions' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Wolverines are ranked 131st).

South County's receiving core played a big role in the win, headlined by Thomas Powell and Kendreic Lee. Powell picked up 202 receiving yards and one touchdown while Lee picked up 86 receiving yards and one TD. Those 202 receiving yards gave Powell a new career-high.

South County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Caleb Hairston and Cj Cameron.

Alexandria City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for South County, their record now sits at 6-3.
