Beatrice posted their closest victory since August 30th on Tuesday. They won by a set and slipped past the Hastings Tigers 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Orangemen, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Beatrice who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 19-25, 25-18, 23-25, 15-10.

Emma Peterson paced Beatrice's offense, picking up 16 kills. Peterson got some help from Kiley Hatcliff and her 40 assists.

Despite the loss, Hastings still got an impressive performance from Mayrin Torres, who had ten digs and one assist. Kylie Ansbach also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Beatrice and bumps their season record up to 10-19. As for Hastings, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-27 record this season.

Beatrice didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Norris on the 30th. Hastings does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
