Lamar is a perfect 8-0 against Grand Prairie since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gophers at 7:00 p.m. Neither Lamar nor Grand Prairie posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Lamar fell victim to Bowie and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Volunteers. Surprisingly, this marked the Vikings' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Meanwhile, Grand Prairie also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Arlington on Thursday, falling 8-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Gophers in their meetings with the Colts: they've now lost nine in a row.

Lamar has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-16-2 record this season. As for Grand Prairie, their loss dropped their record down to 4-20.

Lamar was able to grind out a solid win over Grand Prairie in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 4-1. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Gophers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
