South Aiken extended their winning streak to six on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 11-13 in the process. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Brookland-Cayce Bearcats. This was a revenge game for the Thoroughbreds: when they faced off against the Bearcats back in March, they had to take a 6-5 loss.

As for Brookland-Cayce, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured nine defeats in a row.

For Brookland-Cayce's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bennett Plane, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Looking ahead, South Aiken will head out to square off against Barnwell at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warhorses' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Thoroughbreds' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Brookland-Cayce does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
