After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Garden Plain, Independent was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Chaparral Roadrunners out 33-30. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since March 6, 2024.

Independent's victory bumped their record up to 3-11-1. As for Chaparral, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-10-1 record this season.

Independent wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 38-34 loss against Belle Plaine on the 17th. As for Chaparral, they will face off against Kingman on Thursday.
