Soccer Game Preview: Colerain vs. Oak Hills

The Colerain Cardinals will challenge the Oak Hills Highlanders at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Colerain's offense. They lost 9-0 to Fairfield on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for Colerain in their meetings with Fairfield: they've now lost three in a row.

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Oak Hills and Turpin, and Turpin kept the tradition alive. The Highlanders came up short against the Spartans on Tuesday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Oak Hills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 274th, while Turpin are ranked 39th).

Colerain's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-2. As for Oak Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8-2.
