Palmer proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the West Anchorage Eagles, sneaking past 1-0. The victory continues a trend for the Moose in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Jasmine Hephner paced Palmer's offense, picking up four kills. Hephner got some help from Samantha Thomas and her nine assists. Laekyn Leroux controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Palmer's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coincidentally, Palmer and West Anchorage will both be playing Lathrop the next time they take the court. The Moose will head out to face the Malemutes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
