Basketball Recap: Lake Catholic Extends Winning Streak to Four

While Lake Catholic didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They managed a 65-59 win over the Elyria Catholic Panthers on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Cougars who have now won four games in a row.

Leading Lake Catholic to victory were Aiden Webb and Cross Nimmo. Webb went 8 of 18 on his way to 24 points, while Nimmo almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. That's the most points Webb has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Rozman, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 11 points and eight rebounds.

Lake Catholic's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Elyria Catholic, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Lake Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 69-57 victory against Trinity on the 21st. As for Elyria Catholic, they will welcome Perkins at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th.
