Baseball Recap: Hazen Gets the Win

After low-scoring totals in their previous five contest, Hazen brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They came out on top against the Oxbow Olympians by a score of 13-8 on Tuesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Wildcats' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Hazen's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Oxbow, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Hazen will host Randolph at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Ghosts' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Oxbow, they will head out to face off against Lyndon Institute at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
