Basketball Game Preview: Rigby Trojans vs. Thunder Ridge Titans

Rigby and Thunder Ridge are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Rigby Trojans will square off against the Thunder Ridge Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Rigby's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Rigby is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell to Centennial 79-73. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (61), the Trojans still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Thunder Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. Everything went their way against Boise on Thursday as Thunder Ridge made off with a 69-44 win. That looming 69-44 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Titans yet this season.

Thunder Ridge's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Rigby, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Rigby came up short against Thunder Ridge in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 69-65. Can Rigby avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
