Recap: McAdams Bulldogs vs. Kosciusko Whippets
The McAdams Bulldogs fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Kosciusko Whippets on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Whippets by a score of 59-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Andrew Mancell, who scored 26 points along with nine rebounds and six blocks for Kosciusko. Those 26 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Ryan Tillman, who scored 16 points.
McAdams' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for Kosciusko, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
McAdams will head out on the road to face off against Nanih Waiya at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nanih Waiya will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 209th, while McAdams is ranked 97th). As for Kosciusko, they will be playing at home against Greenwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenwood is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
