Softball Recap: Crook County Takes a Loss

Crook County was the 9-5 winner over The Dalles when they last played one another last Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Cowboys came up short against the Riverhawks on Wednesday, falling 11-1.

Crook County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kendall Martinez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base was Martinez's first of the season.

Crook County's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for The Dalles, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Crook County will challenge rival Molalla at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, The Dalles is set to face off against their familiar foe Madras at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
