Volleyball Recap: Yulee Comes Up Short

Yulee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mandarin Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2022.

Despite the loss, Yulee still got an impressive performance from Mylie Breutzmann, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Yulee's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Mandarin, they moved to 4-6 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Yulee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Tocoi Creek on the 13th. As for Mandarin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Oakleaf on the 13th.
