Baseball Recap: Holden Eagles vs. Cole Camp Blue Birds
Holden had lost four straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 12-10 to make it five. They fell 5-1 to the Cole Camp Blue Birds. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Birds apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2021.
As for Cole Camp, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-16. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games.
For Cole Camp's part, they secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Brett Burdick, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Burdick has posted since back in April. Another was Joseph Hatfield, who earned two runs and one stolen base.
