After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four matchups, Mountain View finally came back down to earth on Friday. They lost 17-2 to the Hood River Valley Eagles. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Mountain View saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklynn Hueners, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Hueners is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Camryn Sharp also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Hood River Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

While Mountain View had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
