Basketball Game Preview: Chaparral Lobos vs. Goddard Rockets

Chaparral is 0-10 against Goddard since December of 2014 but things could change on Friday. The Chaparral Lobos will head out on the road to take on the Goddard Rockets at 5:30 p.m. Chaparral will be strutting in after a win while Goddard will be coming in after a defeat.

Chaparral is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Varsity Opponent 65-21. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Lobos have posted since December 9, 2023.

Meanwhile, Goddard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Roswell and fell 71-29. Having soared to a lofty 55 points in the game before, the Rockets couldn't push the score so high this time.

Chaparral's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Goddard, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Chaparral couldn't quite finish off Goddard in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 and fell 47-44. Can Chaparral avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
