Baseball Recap: Pequot Lakes Takes a Loss

Pequot Lakes fell victim to Pierz and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 1-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Patriots in their meetings with the Pioneers: they've now lost three in a row.

Pequot Lakes now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Pierz, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Pequot Lakes will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pierz, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-4 loss against Royalton on the 16th.
