Bendle has gone 7-2 against Genesee recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Wolves at 4:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Bendle gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on Carman-Ainsworth with a sharp 12-2 victory. Considering the Tigers have won three contests by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Genesee). They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over Atherton last Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Wolves have posted against the Wolverines since April 17, 2017.
Rylie O'Brien made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those stolen bases were her first of the season.
In other batting news, Genesee let Kiera Little and Palin Hicks run wild. Little got on base in all three of her plate appearances with six stolen bases and three runs, while Hicks got on base in all three of her plate appearances with six stolen bases and three runs. Those six stolen bases gave Little a new career-high. Kaprice Miner was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases and two runs.
Genesee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .840. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Bendle is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. Genesee's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4.
Everything went Bendle's way against Genesee in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, as Bendle made off with a 19-9 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
