Baseball Recap: Socorro Takes a Loss

Socorro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-4 to the Tularosa Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-4 loss on Saturday.

Socorro's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Tularosa, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Socorro will square off against Hatch Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.63 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Tularosa, they will be playing at home against Cobre at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
