Flag Football Game Preview: Paradise Valley Trojans vs. Sunrise Mountain Mustangs + Official Tickets

The Paradise Valley Trojans will head out on the road to square off against the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Paradise Valley is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Two weeks ago, Paradise Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Ironwood and fell 17-14. Despite 51 more yards than the Eagles, the Trojans couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

The losing side was boosted by Jordana Dembowski, who threw for 208 yards on eight of 22 attempts, and also rushed for 48 yards.

Even if they lost, Paradise Valley's defense still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Sienna Blackwell refused to say out of the backfield, picking up three sacks all by herself.

Meanwhile, Sunrise Mountain fell victim to Verrado and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a 7-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vipers.

Sunrise Mountain's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. Kaylee Pruetz was the real danger to the passing game, picking up two interceptions all by herself.

Paradise Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Sunrise Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
