Basketball Recap: Omaha South Takes a Loss

Omaha South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were dealt an 80-24 loss at the hands of the Gross Catholic Cougars. The Packers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-16.

Omaha South's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eve Hodoly, who posted eight points. Aubrey Harper was another key player, putting up nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Omaha South's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Gross Catholic, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-5.

Looking ahead, Omaha South will square off against Norfolk at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Omaha South is facing Norfolk at the right time seeing as Norfolk is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Gross Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
