Basketball Recap: Raegan Beecroft Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Chetek-Weyerhaeuser

Cumberland's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They snuck past the Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Bulldogs with a 48-42 victory. This was a revenge game for the Beavers: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in January, they had to take a 45-39 loss.

Cumberland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Raegan Beecroft, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds. With that strong performance, Beecroft is now averaging an impressive 8.2 boards per game. Macy Beecroft was another key player, putting up 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Cumberland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January.

Cumberland's win bumped their record up to 5-19. As for Chetek-Weyerhaeuser, they dropped their record down to 5-16 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Cumberland nor Chetek-Weyerhaeuser have any future games scheduled.
