After a string of eight wins, Kouts's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 66-49 to the Washington Township Senators. The game marked the Mustangs & Fillies 's lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Washington Township's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kyle Banker led the charge by going 5 of 12 on his way to 17 points along with six assists and five steals. Banker is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. Aiden Armstrong was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.

Kouts' loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-2. As for Washington Township, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Kouts didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-58 win against Rensselaer Central on the 18th. Washington Township has also already played their next game, a 50-48 victory against Morgan Township on the 22nd.
