Basketball Recap: Chase County Makes It Six in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Chase County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They put the hurt on the Holyoke Dragons with a sharp 70-49 victory on Thursday. This was payback for the Longhorns, who suffered a 53-44 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Chase County was led to victory by Noah Rau and Lukas Fries. Rau went 8 for 13 en route to 16 points and six rebounds, while Fries went 6 of 10 on his way to 17 points. Rau's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Terryberry, who posted six points along with 11 boards and four blocks.

Chase County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Chase County's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-9. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Holyoke, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.
