Softball Game Preview: Redmond Panthers vs. Wilsonville Wildcats

The Redmond Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Wilsonville Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Redmond made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Putnam, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over the Kingsmen on Monday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Panthers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wilsonville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against Sprague on Tuesday as they made off with a 10-2 win. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

With the victory, Redmond broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-3. As for Wilsonville, they moved to 3-6 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Redmond took their victory against Wilsonville in their previous meeting back in March of 2016 by a conclusive 14-4 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
