Volleyball Recap: Hartfield Academy Has No Trouble Against Heritage Academy

There's no place like home for Hartfield Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They put the hurt on the Heritage Academy Patriots with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Hawks this season.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Hartfield Academy was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-12, 25-9.

Logan Swan was the offensive standout of the game as she had seven aces and five digs. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Swan wasn't the only good server: Hartfield Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 22 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in seven consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Hartfield Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Heritage Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hartfield Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Madison-Ridgeland Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 19th. As for Heritage Academy, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on West Point at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
