Basketball Game Preview: Bonner Springs Braves vs. Ottawa Cyclones

The Bonner Springs Braves are taking a road trip to take on the Ottawa Cyclones at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Monday, Bonner Springs got the win against Leavenworth by a conclusive 79-58. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Ottawa put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 60-43 victory over Eudora. Given the Cyclones' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Cardinals are ranked 96th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bonner Springs' win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points over those games. As for Ottawa, their victory bumped their record up to 15-0.
