Basketball Recap: Clarkrange Comes Up Short

Clarkrange extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping them down to 8-11-1. They had to suffer through a 78-45 loss at the hands of the Cumberland County Jets. The Buffaloes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-23.

As for Cumberland County, their win bumped their record up to 16-13. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 23 points or more this season.

Cumberland County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sydney Wilhite led the charge by going 7-for-14 on her way to 20 points and six boards. The matchup was Wilhite's fifth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Olivia Futrell, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

As of now, neither Clarkrange nor Cumberland County have any future games scheduled.
