Basketball Recap: Muir's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

Muir lost against Hoover back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Muir Mustangs took a 49-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hoover Tornados. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Muir's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Hoover, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Muir will challenge Firebaugh on Saturday. As for Hoover, they will take on Crescenta Valley at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. Crescenta Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Hoover likes a good challenge.
