For the second straight game, Thompson Valley will face off against Greeley Central. The Eagles will head out to face off against the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Thompson Valley will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Thompson Valley and Greeley Central had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Eagles put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 18-4 win on Saturday. That 14 run margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

Cameron Maki made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
In other batting news, Sam Engelland was a standout: he got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He also got three hits, which is notable because Thompson Valley is 2-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 7-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Beau Balliet, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Thompson Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greeley Central only managed three hits.
Greeley Central is on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18. As for Thompson Valley, their record is now 9-11.
Thompson Valley's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's game. The Eagles have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game.
