Baseball Game Preview: California Condors vs. La Serna Lancers

For the second straight game, California will face off against La Serna. The Condors will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Lancers at 3:15 p.m. California's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so La Serna's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

California is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Saturday, they were much more limited against La Serna on Wednesday. They fell 5-2 to the Lancers.

For La Serna's part, Mikey ALvarez and Dominic Segura did most of the damage at the plate: ALvarez went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run, while Segura went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Isaac Del Haro Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

La Serna pushed their record up to 13-9 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for California, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.
