Baseball Game Preview: Ar-We-Va Rockets vs. Boyer Valley Bulldogs

The Ar-We-Va Rockets will square off against the Boyer Valley Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Ar-We-Va has given up an average of 10.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ar-We-Va managed to slip by Glidden-Ralston the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Rockets lost 14-4 to the Wildcats on Thursday. Surprisingly, this marked the Rockets' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Boyer Valley and Glidden-Ralston had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bulldogs took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Friday. Bulldogs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Wildcats since on Friday.

Boyer Valley now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Ar-We-Va, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Ar-We-Va might still be hurting after the 17-9 defeat they got from Boyer Valley when the teams last played back in June of 2024. Can the Rockets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
