Soccer Game Preview: Animo Watts vs. Burton

Animo Watts is 0-9-1 against Burton since January of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Animo Watts Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Burton Scorpions at 3:00 p.m. After both made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.

Animo Watts' defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Animo Venice with a sharp 7-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Meanwhile, Burton entered their tilt with Animo Pat Brown on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Everything went their way against the Gryphons as they made off with a 6-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Scorpions , who have now won five games by four goals or more so far this season.

Burton pushed their record up to 6-1-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those three contests. As for Animo Watts, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6-2.

Animo Watts suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Burton when the teams last played last Monday. Can Animo Watts avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
