Softball Recap: Monroe Central Falls Short of Union City in the Playoffs

Monroe Central and Union City squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Monroe Central had to settle for second. They lost 15-1 to the Indians. The Golden Bears have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Monroe Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aleiyah Davis, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Monroe Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Union City, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-12.

As of now, neither Monroe Central nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
