Baseball Game Preview: Midway Panthers vs. Rockwall Yellowjackets

For the second straight game, Midway will face off against Rockwall. The Panthers will challenge the Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Midway's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Rockwall's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Midway heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Thursday. They fell just short of Rockwall by a score of 2-1.

For Rockwall's part, Hudson Holt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits.

At the plate, Reid Overstreet was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Rockwall has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 21-14-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Midway, their loss dropped their record down to 22-10-1.
