Recap: Ragsdale Tigers vs. Page Pirates
The Ragsdale Tigers were the 69-62 winner over the Page Pirates when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Ragsdale fell 60-50 to Page on Friday. While losing is never fun, Ragsdale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 409th, while Page is ranked 191st).
Ragsdale's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Patrick Carter, who scored 14 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Wise, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Ragsdale and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Page, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5.
Ragsdale will take on Greensboro Day School in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at. Greensboro Day School has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 239 points over their last four games. Page will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Grimsley at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th.
